Welcome to Uxbridge, Howick's Creative Centre
Uxbridge is an arts centre located in the heart of Howick. We have a Theatre, Gallery, Studio teaching spaces, cafe and rooms for hire. For 25 years we have offered courses, exhibitions, events and performances for the enjoyment and edification of the community. Once again we offer you a fantastic array of classes covering all aspects of the Arts. There is always something new to learn, to expand your experience and stimulate the mind. There are many activities to choose from, with classes and workshops which are held in the daytime, evenings and weekends.

NEW Uxbridge Arts Store
On Thursday 6 November we opened another new concept in our Centre, the Uxbridge Arts Store. Situated in our Reception area, it is of necessity a small affair and therefore featuring mainly smaller pieces, many of which are under $100, perfect for gifts!
All the work is made in New Zealand and includes some of the most accomplished artisans and artists producing today. There is jewellery, ceramics, glass, woodware, lights, greeting cards and various funky and unusual items that defy categorisation! We hope to provide you with a store full of the highest quality pieces, with a focus on Aotearoa New Zealand. The shop is open the same hours as the Office.
The Manukau Festival of Arts 2008 is an inaugural event for audiences of all ages and backgrounds from around the Auckland region to experience the energy of the arts in Manukau through a diverse range of exciting festival events.
Between 30 October and 17 Novemeber the Manukau Festival Of Arts will showcase more than 30 exciting events around the city - exhibitions, youth events, opera, dance, fashion, comedy and film. Uxbridge are please to present as part of the festival Explosion Latina and the Howick Art, Garden & Sculpture Weekend
