BELLY DANCING FOR FITNESS

Belly dancing classes incorporate movement of the body for fun while learning a dance art.  Whilst one of the biggest benefits is stress relief, it is also a creative outlet and a wonderful type of gentle exercise for women (and men) of all ages, shapes and sizes.  A regular dance class improves your coordination, posture and self-awareness.  Class runs for 9 weeks.

PILATES

Stretch and strengthen the body in a gentle and effective manner.  Pilates is a physical and mental conditioning programme, combining exercise with stretching and breathing.  Pilates mat work classes promote better posture, stronger and more flexible muscles, greater energy and an increased ability to cope with day to day stress.  Class runs for 9 weeks.

Yoga is a timeless science evolved over thousands of years dealing with the physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of the person as a whole.  Suzie leads a traditional Indian yoga class incorporating postures, breathing and deep relaxation. YOGA WITH JANE
Tutor: Jane Jones (Yoga Diploma IYTA NZ)

Jane is a qualified Iyengar teacher.  She continues to deepen her knowledge and understanding of yoga through her practice and study, attending classes with senior teachers in New Zealand and workshops with senior teachers from abroad.  With all this knowledge Jane will show you how to nurture your body, mind and spirit with yoga postures, breathing and relaxation.  Increase flexibility and release tension.  Beginners welcome.  Classes run for 8 weeks.

Stretch and relax with yoga exercises that give a sense of wellbeing and help to relieve stress and tension.  Judy is an experienced tutor who provides careful guidance for beginners as well as more experienced participants.  Class is not suitable for pregnant women.  Class runs for 10 weeks.

T'AI CHI - The Essence of Movement

T'ai Chi has evolved over centuries on China as a way to allow your mind to settle and your body to rejuvenate naturally.  Using movements that are circular, easy and free-flowing.  Instructor Stacy's approach to T'ai Chi is based on the instruction given in Wudang Shan in Central China, the original cradle of T'ai Chi.  Class runs for 8 weeks.
