At the core of most jewellery are settings to hold a stone or stones. These two courses will take you up a level from basic bezel settings to claw settings.At the end of each course there will be a discussion on their usage in your jewellery. If students wish to have a ring or a piece of jewellery ready to put the setting into and we have time ...soldering can be done.Term 1 will focus on a four claw and six claw round tapered setting and term 2 will look at U and V shaped settings.

NUNO FELTING
Tutor: Alison Smith (New)
Nuno felting is a Japanese fabric felting technique. It melds loose fibre, usually wool, into a sheer fabric such as silk gauze. This creates a lightweight felt that can totally cover the background fabric or be used as a single decorative design. In this workshop you will learn the easy process and create a gorgeous, soft and luxurious wrap.

LIFE PAINTING
