JEWELLERY CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN

Tutor: Simon Misdale

Join an Award winning jewellery designer with over 30 years experience in creative jewellery. Beginners will learn basic construction in plain rings, stone set rings, pendants and earrings. Advanced students will extend their knowledge of construction and design. Material packs (sterling silver) from tutor for beginners $45.00. Other silver and gold can be purchased as well as stones. Class runs for 7 weeks.

CAST CLASS

Tutor: Evelyn Dunstan

Learn all the processes of this beautiful contemporary art form in three intensive weekend workshops. The first weekend will focus on sculpting a wax model, the second will concentrate on refractory moulding, steaming and the work will then go into the kiln. On the last weekend you will be demoulding and finishing. You will be walked through this process by practicing cast glass artist Evelyn Dunstan winner of the prestigious Ranamok Prize for Contemporary Glass (Australia) for 2007. No previous experience is required. Classes run over three weekends. Glass will have to be purchased.

CREATIVE CLAY

Tutor: Raewyn Neale

This class covers a variety of hand building techniques: coiling, slab building, pinch pots, moulds, styles, textures and finishes. Let your imagination explore and combine these skills, creating either sculptural pieces or useful domestic ware. Wheels available for those who want to get really messy while learning the skills. Material for an initial piece is included. Classes run for 8 weeks.

POTTERY CLUB

Tutor: Untutored

If you have taken Raewyn’s Pottery class and you want to explore your creative side further and all you need is the space and some support from fellow enthusiasts then this club is for you. This is an untutored session that will give you quality creative time. You must have completed Raewyn’s Pottery class.
