Manukau City Council recently announced that the long awaited redevelopment of Uxbridge has been included in the LTCCP (10Year Plan)

The redevelopment will be part of an Uxbridge Heritage Precinct concept intending to link the cultural facilities around the Uxbridge Centre.
Importantly, the listed historic building of the original Presbyterian Church will, of course, be preserved in the new design.
The redevelopment will provide considerable improvements in the provision of the community Arts services that Uxbridge produces .
Exciting new facilities combined with our character historic buildings

Council have initially set aside $50000.00 in 2009/10 for a concept plan to be evolved and then $25000.00 for a feasibility study for the Uxbridge Precinct with a further $25000.00 for this work in 2010/11.

A timetable has been published for a Scoping Study to happen between November 2009 to April 2010 to involve RFP process with consultants, community consultation, concept development etc.

The actual design process should start next financial year, 2010/11
