THE UXBRIDGE REDEVELOPMENT: JUNE 2012

Dear Supporters of Uxbridge,

You may have noticed in the local Howick and Pakuranga Times (June 30, 2011 edition) and through the Howick Draft Plan in your letterboxes recently, that the Howick Local Board is confirming and supporting the Redevelopment of the Uxbridge Centre’s buildings in 2012.
 
This Project was in Manukau City Council’s LTTCP (10 Year Plan) and was carried over as a legacy project into the new Auckland Council Plan last year.
It is very good news the Howick Local Board and the Auckland Council are right behind our long awaited Redevelopment which will provide our community with an excellent purpose built facility for our arts and leisure activities while preserving the character and history of Uxbridge for the future.

Thank you for your support – I am sure the Uxbridge community is as excited as we are that our beautiful, rather eccentric, but very much loved, arts and leisure centre is going to get its long deserved “makeover”!!!
