James Lawrence believes that painting non-objectively allows the intuitive nature of the painter its voice. It also affords the widest possible range of interpretation, including contradiction. James has won many awards and was named "Most Successful Artist" and awarded the Royal Agricultural Society Medal at the 2001 Royal Easter Show.
